So As the time gets closer I have finally decided that I want to do a 2-4 day solo camp through either A. Chugach National Forest or B. Denali National Park and Preserve.
This will be a new adventure for me and I would be remiss if I didn't take advantage of the opportunity. I know that I have to do a bit of gearing up though, Bear spray anyone? I also should get some bear proof storage to hang from the trees. It's a good thing I have a Cousin in Alaska. I'm hoping I'll be able to mail most of my stuff to him prior to me leaving so I know it's safe. It's better to spend $80 to ship something than Hundreds to replace stolen items.
In any case it's going to take a bit of planning to achieve.

Yep, I was invited by my boss and his family to go to Palmer Alaska for 7 days in early June.
I'm looking forward to the trip, were going to go bear hunting, hike some of Mt. Denali, and I plan to take my pack to get a night or two of camping in.
Since it's summer they'll be up to 21 hours of light so that will be really neat to see.
I'll know more as the time draws near.
